Terms and conditions
When you hire Appliance Fix Experts, the following Terms and Conditions will apply. You need to read and understand these Terms before our technician starts working. If our technician starts working, it means you accept all the Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire Agreement (the “Agreement”) between Appliance Fix and the Client. This Agreement supersedes all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements or representations.
Non-refundable service fee
Appliance Fix Experts charge a non-refundable service fee to cover our travel and diagnostic costs. We will provide you with the service fee amount before our visit. By using our services, you agree to pay the service fee whether or not we perform the recommended repairs. If we proceed with the repair or replacement, the service fee will be included in the total cost.
Payment terms
Payment is due when the services are completed unless we agree otherwise in writing. You can pay with cash, check, or credit card.
Limited warranty
Our warranty ensures that the repairs, parts, and service we provide will be free from defects for 3 months from either the date you receive the part or the date of repair or service. If you find a defect during this time, please let us know right away. All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by the Appliance Fix Experts team unless otherwise discussed and noted on the Invoice.
The warranty does not cover:
- Repair or replacement of any appliances used for commercial or industrial purposes.
- Cosmetic or non-functional parts such as glass, trim, knobs, panels, racks, tanks, tubs, baskets, structural parts, doors, door liners, and shelves.
- The water supply lines to any appliance that have been replaced or recommended for replacement by Appliance Fix.
- Repair of any appliance that has been moved from its original location repaired or installed by Appliance Fix Experts.
- Repairs on appliances for which parts are no longer available from the original manufacturer. In addition, Appliance Fix Experts is not obligated to honor any warranty.
Limitation of damages
Appliance Fix Experts will not be responsible for any extra, unexpected, or indirect damages resulting from a breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or any other damage related to this agreement.
Damage waivers
Clients should familiarize themselves with and agree to our waivers of liability before using our services. When you request our services, you are agreeing to these waivers.
Waiver of damages when moving an appliance
By agreeing to have the technician move the appliance, you understand and accept that there is a risk of damage to the appliance and the surrounding areas, such as the flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. The technician is not required to move the appliance, so if they do, you promise not to hold them or Appliance Fix Experts liable for any damage that may occur during the movement.
Waiver of damages when working with water
When the technician works on the appliances connected to the building”s plumbing system, there is a risk of leakage and flooding. Unless there is clear negligence by the technician, you agree not to hold the technician or Appliance Fix Experts responsible for any damages or liability resulting from such an occurrence. By allowing the technician to start work, you give up the right to make any contrary claim.
Waiver of damages from faulty cooling equipment
When servicing or repairing refrigeration equipment, it’s important to understand that it is complex and can fail unexpectedly. Diagnosing issues may not always be straightforward, and even careful repairs can result in the equipment not performing as intended. This could lead to food spoilage, discomfort, inconvenience, and potential loss of revenue. By choosing to service or repair your equipment, you agree that any associated risks are your responsibility and that Appliance Fix Experts, its agents, and employees are not liable for any resulting harm. Allowing the technician to start work explicitly waives the right to make any contrary claims.
Waiver of damages from lifting glass cooktop
When lifting a glass or ceramic cooktop surface to access components underneath, there is a risk of breakage because the top is attached with strong adhesive. It might not always be possible to separate the top without it fracturing. While we expect our technicians to be careful, you understand that we do not accept responsibility for any breakage. You agree that any risks are your own or your company”s, and you promise not to hold Appliance Fix Experts, its agents, or employees responsible. By allowing the technician to start working, you give up the right to make any claims against us for this issue.
